Using free boat plans to build your own boat, has its pros and cons.
First, it's pretty hard to beat downloading boat plans for free.
Second, you never know what you are going to end up with as a finished product.
Some do-it-yourselfers enjoy scanning over several boat plans, before deciding which one suits their taste or to get a feel for the different boat blueprints scattered around the net.
While there are several sites offering boat building plans that are free, I think in the long run, using a set of professionally created boat blue prints, with a thorough set of instructions and a complete materials list, is necessary to put together a boat that will float.
Have a look at the following video.
The video has been sped up to give you an overview of their boat building process, but I think you get the picture.
So if you are still interested in looking at some absolutely free boat plans, we have compiled some resources we have found across the net. Note: Always use caution if you plan on using boat plans that are free.
Please bare in mind that any boat plans found on the
following sites, are not our plans. We are simply providing resources
for free boat blueprints, so use them at your own risk.
