Watermark: Produced by an Autodesk Educational Product

by Anonymous

Hello! I purchased AutoCAD 2011 (student version)

Now when I print a drawing, on all 4 sides of the paper the text: "produced by an Autodesk educational product" appears.

I tried so many things about saving drawings, but nothing works.

Can somebody give me detailed instructions to get rid of that text please?

Thanks

AutoCAD Watermark

As far as I know there is no way to get rid of the watermark that plots from the educational version.

In fact, if the drawing was created with the AutoCAD student version and then opened in a professional version, you would still get the watermark when trying to print from the professional version of AutoCAD.

We have received drawings in the past that was at one point edited with an educational AutoCAD version, and we could not get rid of the plotted text "Produced by an Autodesk Educational Product". Kind of embarrassing when the drawings need to go to tender LOL

I think it's pretty easy to see why Autodesk does this... there would be a heck of a lot more people buying the student version and using it for commercial use if there was no watermark.

Maybe there is a way and it would be interesting to see it, but not that I'm aware of.

Should you need to use the file for tender purposes, whilst using the 'normal' AutoCAD, export as a dxf file. This ought to remove the annoying 'labels' around the edges of the plot.
