In AutoCAD 2008 my viewports are showing up when I plot a drawing.

How do I turn this off or stop them from plotting?

stop view port from printing
by: richartd

go to your layers property tab and put your view ports on a separate layer ,while in the layers property tab look to the wright and click on the printer /plotter to turn it off ,so when you plot your drawing your view port frame wont print.
you will still see them on your drawing window but they wont print.
idk if this is what you are asking please reply letting me know if this helps.

View port plot problem

Create your view port in separate layer. Then simply lock that layer. You will see the layer but it is not plotted

Layer Defpoints should be automatically created. If the Defpoints layer is not there, you create it and change all viewport layers to Defpoints.

With that you do not need to control the layer by putting the layer on or off.

You can also still see the viewport lines in the paper space but when printing will not be printed.
