To anybody who can help:

I am working on a project in AutoCAD 2008, that includes many drawings, and I need to edit the title block that applies to all the drawings.

How I can edit my block ones and it will apply to all others, thanks.

Use XREF's for the Title Block
by: Jim

The way we do it here in our office is to insert the title block as an External Reference.

All the title block parameters that will remain the same in the project, i.e. our logo, client logo and name, project name, drawn by, etc... is added to the title block one time, then the title block is inserted into each drawing sheet as an XREF.

That way when you change something on the title block it updates in all the drawings that the XREF resides in. This saves a lot of work.

We then use attributes for specific title block fields, such as Drawing Name, Sheet Number, etc... any title block field that needs to change.

Changing Title Blocks Globally in AutoCAD
by: Anonymous

I would group all properties included in the title block parameters as:-

Group 1 Constant entities
This group includes entities such as lines, Project Title, Project No. etc...

Group 2 Variable entities.

This group includes Dwg Titles, Scale, Dates, Rev. No etc..

Create attribute text on all variable entities.

The two groups form the title block which can then be used as an external Reference.

Xref the title block into the paper space and you can be able to edit the variable entities wherever required.
