SketchUp??

Google has a good reputation. Right?

I downloaded the program yesterday.

I started working on a design I am currently working (real world) on SketchUp intending to "tweak" a few things using the program.

First clue there was a issue: the Pan ability would freeze the program.

I decided to reboot my computer this afternoon.

I made sure that I had saved the design I was working on.

Now the computer tells me to re-install SketchUp.

All of the hours of work I put in are probably gone.

I guess you get what you pay for.

Irritated in Central CA!!

Give it some time and learn to work with it, you will absolutely love it. I use it for designing my sheds, small barns, and things like chicken coops for sale on my site, shedking.net.

The only time the program has crashed on me is when I get into print preview. Not sure why it does it, but I have gotten into the habit of saving my work very frequently, no matter what program I am working in or on.

I do not have a lot of familiarity with a lot of cad programs, but when I came across sketchup, and learned to use it (and I still have tons to learn!)
it was a dream come true for me.
