Use the "Distance" Command
by: Anonymous

Using the "Distance" command will give you an exact distance between 2 points.

For absolute accuracy make sure your OSNAP setting is on.

You can configure the types of OSNAP settings (i.e. Endpoint, Midpoint, Center, etc.) by typing DDOSNAP at the command prompt.

Set the Resolution for "Distance" Command
by: Mark

I agree with anonymous about using the distance command and Osnaps, but here's one further thing which you might need to know;

The value returned when you use "Distance" is controlled by the "Units" variable; type "Units" at the command line to change the unit type (i.e., fractional or decimal) and resolution, if you want something more accurate than the default resolution.

If in line command or making a copy etc., the format is @distance
